Ciaocito Elder Phippen!

Well my comp heads back to the states this week, crazy stuff that means a new comp comming my way!!! read and find out!!

Lunes: We did some saying goodbye in cocuré one of elder phippens old areas it was good then we went home.

Martes: Got up bright and early and bounced out to the temple!! We went with a less active that i helped reactivate and got to go with him to do baptisms fo rhis grandpa it was super awesome!!! We went wtih him and bishop and were there for about half a day it was super great! After that we got back home and made some lunch in the house and then headed out to work. We tried to get a lesson in but no one was home, then had to take care of some stuff for the zone, afterwords we went and visited hortensia, an investigador that is super cool! she just wants to wait a while to get baptized, still in the struggle with her. Then we went and met with the cousins of memebrs who is going to church, she is doing really well! afterwords we went and met with Liz to help her keep preparing for her baptism this saturday. got home real tired.. over all a good day though.

Miercoles: Today was a good one we went and taught alexandra a single mom of two kids that is trying to make a come back to the church as well, she is doing really well and is starting to become more and more solidof a memeber. after that we went to lunch with the Yurt family. it was delish as always and then we went to a less active memebr serafina.afte rthat we went and found this cool new named ever. followed by a different new named olga, then we went and met with liz and followed that by visiting karina. Today it rained all dya.. it was nice, nothing tooo huge but yes rain. It also got pretty cold at night but it was good.

Jueves: Statred today with some weekly planning, and then got to work we had lunch with th familia lopez and tarted to help the dad understandthe impotrance of going to church, he said he would go this sunday. After that we went and taught liz the last lesson before her interview and then we went to a few other houses but no one was home. after that we went to alba, who is looing like an august baptism, followed by the famliia soto, Antonio a super funny son of the hermana who isnt active shared with us and said that he would go to church this sunday so hopefully he does. After that we went and talked to claudio who could hopefully be a wedding and a baptism, in the month of august. After that we went and visited lorena, and then headed home, pretty cold tonight... way better than it being hot hahaha. 

Viernes: Statred a Division today i went with Elder Menchaca, stayed in my area, started the morning by visitng alexandra then we went and had lunch in the house, he cooked a stir fri lack a lot of vegitables... it was good though. After that we went and visited the hermana serafina. then we went and visited for suriseis aguast baptism Elías he is 10 and the son ofsuper active memebrs, he is getting baptized with three of his brothers who havent been baptized yet. itll be a good day for them. after that we went and had the baptismal interveiw with liz. It went really well and she passed with flying colors, after that we shared a little bit with fabiola and eva, and then went and visited Karina ended up being a pretty dang solid day.

Sabado: Well we trried to switch back this morning but all the colectivos where super full, so we waited an hour and then walked over to the other ruta and caugt a collectivo to make the switch. Then me and elder Phippen went and cleaned the baptismal font and were ableto fill it up with warm ater.. somethign i did not know how to do before! lucky guy hahaha. After that we went and visited Alba an august baptism canidate. After that we completley crossed our area to go visit serafina again becasue she asked us to go visit her. It went well and then we ran to the baptism. It went really well elder phippen did it! what a way to go out!! after that we wnt and met a new investigatorr named karina and then we went and talked to claudio and his señora. it went well after that we went hope real tired it was really good.

Domingo: Today in church we had 65 people with 3 less actives and with 3 investigators it was a good sunday and liz got confirmed. Afterr churcrh we went home studied a little bit and then headed out to attack the night. We had lunch and let the elder Phippen goodbyes start with the familia fernandez, after that there werent too many iof our plans that were home, but we were ableto swing by bishop and then got to go down to hortensia and her boyfriend has some struggles we are going to have to help him with so that she can progress more. Then we went and visited Lorena matías and Ilsa and said good bye to them, afterords the familia prieto and share with them and there uncle richard. He is doing really good and accpeted the baptismal date for the 30th of august, know we just have to help him feel more prepared for it. We then were able to calll ita night. Went home cleaned a little and elder phippen preparerd fo rhis final interview with president tomorrow.

Lunes: Got up and Played some basketball again for exercises, then we went back home got ready and headed to asuncion, fo relder phippens interveiw. On our way there we got the changes.. our zone is changing alot and My new comp will be Elder Goss!!!!!!!!!, he came with me to the mision and we were roommates for all 6 weeks in the MTC it is gonna be soooooooooo awesome!!! im super excited! Then we got to the office, i got to see a lot of people who are going home with elder phippen or just people i hadnt seen in a while, went to lunch with elder bristol and elder greer at don vito. Then made our way to san lorenzo to call it a day

Well thats my week! looking foreward to 6 more weeks here in laurelty! love you all so much! hope kaitlynns wedding goes well and that mckenzie has a super dope birthday!!! until the next week homies!!!

One Year Down. ALREADY?!

dang well that went fast.. hopefully i dont blink so many times in this next year....

Lunes: Tonight went quite swell we went and taught a lesson in the house of a memebr with a lady that works there, she is super intrested, anfter that we went and visited karina, who will be baptized this saturday, followed by lucy liz who should be baptized in a little bit.

Martes: Today we had district meeting which went well followed by lunch, after that we went and visited lucy who will be getting bapttized this week as well, she seems super prepared. Then we went around contacting because no one was home until we went over to the familia aquino. That went well then we went to lorena to visit her, that went well, afterwords we swung by ortencia, who is super awesome, she has the best desires but wants to wait until the new year starts to get bap`tized, we are working with her to help her do it a little sooner if she can, becuase we know the blessings that come from it, but it went really well. 

Miércoles: Today was good went on a division with elder Whitaker mfrom las vegas. hes pretty cool, we had a good and really busyt day we went and talked to an old lady in our ward who goes every sunday to find out who we should go visit, after we had a great lunch followed by visiteing alejandra a less active member that is making a comeback, then we went and met these 4 new cool kids but that didnt go to far, after that we found 2 pretty cool new investigators and then visited eva and fabiola, after which we visited liz and eva, followed by going to karina who is getting closer and closer tobaptism. after that we made the switch back of campanions.

Jueves:  left the house a year ago today!! crazy!!! we did our weekly planning this morning and then went and had a good lunch with the familia lopez. after that wqe ran to the church to drain the baptismal font and then got to work, we went and visited alba, the lady from monday we taught, followed by lucy who is super ready, then we contacted abunch until we went and visited ortencia, that went well, after that we went and found a less active family that has a husband whos not a memebnr, and he was super cool, we had a really good lesson and he seems super cool, it just looks like it will be hard to find him at home. 

Viernes: (got to argentina and technically started my mission today.. pick your own year mark...) Today we had the keys to the church so for ouur exercises this morning we played basketballs with the other elders of the chapel, we played 21 and you best believe that your boy represented the 509 proudly afterword we cleaned the baptismal font, got ready for the day and then did a division with those elders so that i could do baptismal interviews and the other elder could do baptismal interviews. i went to y´bera with elder Muñoz. our day went really well we taught a lot of lessons and he is a really good missionary. we werent able to do one of the interviews becuase she was working so we scheduled it to be at the church the next morning. The other interview went really well, it was a memeorable one, and should be a good baptism. afterthat we made a switch back and then called it a night. 

Sábado: Got to play basketball again this morning, walked away with the title again ahahahah. then we studied and went back to the church where i did the baptismal interview for jaquliene.. it went really well after that we went and taught a lesson to elías, he is super cool ,a ten year old of a pretty active family. then we made our own lunch preped the baptism and made brownies. Then we had ourselves a beautiful little baptism. it was super good. afterwords we went and visited lba, then the silvero family and then went and talked to eva, decided that we would do a fast for her family in the coming week, and then ate some lo mito arabe! got home bein cansado.

Domingo: Today we had 64 people in church, 2 less actives and then we had 3 investigators, not to mention that both lucy and karina were able to get confirmed. it was great! i did get to teach gospel priciples class and gave a talk in church. I gave it on being diligent and consitent in living the gopspel, it went alright. after church we had lunch and then went and visited lucy and leslie, her sister in law that wants to get baptized now, hermando, the boyfriend of karina, who could potentially get baptized soon as well, then swung by ortencia had a super good lesson, she didnt go to church today because she was sick, then we had a good lesson with liz and eva. liz will be getting baptized this next weekend as long as everything goes to plans! good day.

Lunes: Today we worked in the morning we went and tried to visit a couple people then we went and visited Liz, afterwords we went and visited Alba and then we got our pday on. Elder Phiuppen will be saying good bye to one of his favorite areas, thats why we worked in the morning, because people dont get home from work until night. its been a good day...

Well love you all so much glad to here that the family reunion was such a great success cant wait to be there for the next one!! cant believe that its already been a year!!

Oh what a week!

7/14/14

quite the eventful week! heres how it went....

Lunes: WE went and visited this lady we found the other day so we could get to know her husband and he was pretty cool, then we went and had a pretty good lesson with Karina who is progressing towards baptism rapidisimo! shes super cool.

Martes: today we went and had district meeting which went well, then we went to lunch and headed out to work. We went and visited Lucy who also is really close to baptism. after which we went and visited a preist named faustino who is super awesome, he just needs to go to church here so he can see how things are for himself. After thjat no body was home until we went down to visit patricia and juana.. patricia wants us to start talking to her husband but he is alway out of town, so hopefully soon he will be able to be in town soon. After that we ran over to a NDH and spent the time answer gospeel questions and talking a lot about the life after this one.. it was a good night.

Miercoles: Today i went on a division with elder faucett, we had some good studies and then headed out to teach the people of Y´Bera. it literally sprinkle rained all day.. it was like a little snow.. but just rain it was crazy and was very good at getting you soaked without knowing it. we went and visited some people that seemed super cool and even visited and gave a blessing to a guy i knew named jose, it was a pretty dang good day after that we made the switch back.

Jueves: Today was good, we got to work, had some lunhc, the lopez family made some juice as a joke that had some stuff in it the made it taste bad.. they think its the funniest joke so i just played alng haha. after that we went o try and visit patricias husband but he wasnt home. then we went and visited lucy who is looking more ready then ever for baptism, then we went and found these kids that were pretty cool, after that we went and found another new couple named miguel and lilana, and then after that we swung by ortencia, who is super golden she just wants to wait until the end of the year to get baptized. But today was a really good one.

Viernes: Today started bright and early with zone meeting. we went and played a scripture challenge game that was pretty good, and then learned about how to become more christlike teachers. i also got my PACKAGE!!!! from you guys it was super aweome thanks! it was accompanied with a ton of letters! you guys are the best!!i loved it all and have alread made a pretty good dnt in the candy. we ate some lunch and then did a service project for the house owner.. setting up a quincinera for later in the week, and then we went and visited this cool guy named fransisco, and then karina, and then had a lesson with ariel and his friend derlis. It was a pretty dang good friday, ecspeacially for having zone meeting.

Sabado: We hit up our studies, and then we went to mario martinez house who i should be able to go to the temple with soon, to do baptisms for his ancestors. then after that we went and visited serafina, followed by Liz a friend of Eva who is really cool, and should be able to get baptized here really soon. Then we went and met with lucy, and her sister lesli, who area also super awesome, and hen we chatted with miguel and the silvero family. It went really well and we are looking to have quite the day at church tomorrow!

Domingo: today we had 80 people in church, with 1 less active there, and 5 investidgators!!! it was super cool. and a really great meeting. After that we went and had lunch at  ahouse of members that are argentinian. They were preparing themselves for the game and were very anxious and excited. after that w went and visted Serafina, and then Ortencia who didnt go to church becasue she was sick. But she still has the best desires. Also we went to Rosa and then found out that Germany won the World cup! cognrats to all the germans out there... i have been told congrats a bunch as well, everything thinks im from germany and that we are germans, so the yell germany at us all the time. after that we went and visited the familia borjas, who is super cool and has a kid that needs to be baptized, and 2 more that are 8 and need to be baptized so we should be able to help them out here pretty soon. overall today was a duper great sunday!

Lunes: Today we went souvener shopping and found some cool stuff, i didi find another cool watch, and some cool barçelona shorts. after that we went and ate some don vitos for lunch and then made our way to the ciber.

WEll thats my week for you guys a pretty dang good one for me! thanks again for all the birthday love, and crazy to think that this friday marks a year ago since i made it to argentina and started this super awesome journey! Love you all so much!!

Party Week!

7/7/14 
This last week was a good and busy one.. and i dont have too much time to tell you about it but here it goes...

Lunes: We went and had a good lesson with an investigador named cristina and then swung by evas house who gifted me a tie for my birthday! they are super awesome then we went to the fam. Lopez house where we celebrated a little bit and then they smashed eggs on my head and threw cocnut at me... HAPP BIRTHDAY!! hahah it was super cold that night and walking home was fun hahah...

Martes: WE went to District meeting which went well and then headed to lunch where i was gifted anotther tie that came with matching cuff ilnks and a pocket square... now i just need to learn how to fold a pocket square hahaha. then we went and had some good lessons and got some zone work in. After that we went and found some cool new investigators eventhough they are pretty catholic, but they are super great people.. like all paraguayans. After that we had a good lesson with an investigator that is progressing super well, karina, we taught the word of wisdom and she understood it really well and agreed to live it just like that. after that we had a NDH and tried to have brownines, but they didnt cook fast enough so we left and then the family must have enjoyed them after words. Good tuesday.

Miercoles: Today we went on a division and i went to Isla Bogado with elder WHitaker, an elder from Las Vegas. He is prett ycoo lkid and we had a really good day,  I got a ton of comments on my blue eyes and we did a ton of contacting but we were able to help him tread the water in his area and find some new people to teach. after that when we were on our way to end the division elder whittaker was walking and one of his egs sunk completely in mud, it was crazy and pretty funny, and i had to help pull him out, but it was a good way to end the division.

Jueves: Today i had a division with elder Molina we did some studying taught an intresting lesson, and then went to lunch, that was good, after that we had a second intresting lesson, and then we went and taught alexandria who seems to be less and less on theroad to reactivation. Then we went and met this lady who was super cool , and super smart, she hopefully can be someone who goes to church here pretty soon, and after that we met this dude who also seemed to have a ton of desires to change and to follw jesus christ. we are hoping to help them both out and are really hoping they go to church soon. After that we went and visited Eva, and Karina, and then went to the lpoez house where we helped the family prepare for a wedding that will be happening tomorrow! Mabel and Emanual. They are pretty cool and they said that they would invite me to the temple when they get sealled, so hopefully soon!

Viernes: HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!!! what a great day to love america right! i celebrated by remembering all the great things abuot the states and having a feast for lunch. We actually did head out and do some work early in the morning and taught a guy named diosnicio, he is super old but pretty cool and we are hoping that he gets an answer from god here pretty soon. after that we got the call that lunch was cancelled so we swung by a dispensa bought some stuff and celebrated paraguaya style!! it was super great and filling, then we got right back to work. We went and visited sandra who promised to come to church this sunday and then we visited this guy named fransico, after that we went to juana and visited the family silvero. Then we made our way to the church to go support the wedding. It was a pretty good party and had some good food, it almost turned into a service project because we helped them alot. Kinda funny to see stressed paraguayans..... they are normally super tranquilo.

Sabado: Today we got a good start to the day by going to the chapel and helping clean up everything from the wedding it went pretty quick and then we got wedding cake after haha. after that we went and studyied a little bit and then got to work. We had pretty good lessons with lucy and karina and found some cool news, but the best new we found was a lady named ortencia. her and her daughter really want to get baptized and change there lives, they actually went to church on there own but to a different chapel becuase they didnt know any of the other ones, it was super cool, so we comitted ourselves to go down to there house and show them our chapel. It was a super great way to end the day.

Domingo: Today was good we woke up early and ran down to ortencias house, and brought her here two daughters, and her returned missionary, inactive boyfriend to church.. it was one of the most beautiful things to see a whole family going to church together! on the other side for some reason lucy and karin both didnt go, so thats a struggle. We ended up dropping in attendence, becasue of a huge rainstorm the night before to 53, with 2 investigators and 1 less active there. then we went to Lucy and soto, and juana, and ortencia, it was a pretty good day and makes our july baptism goal look really really good. Hopefully we are really able to help these people change there lives though.

Lunes: Woke up early and headed into Zone concilio in the mission office for zone leaders. It was good, we are going to start a new program where we turn the chapels into visitor centers for a night everyother month or so. WE also where able to talke more baptism goals and test our scripture knowledge, it was a really good concilio and we played some basketball afterwords. Then we made our way to the ciber andnow im writting you guys!
